MICRO NEEDLING with Hyaluronic serum

The purpose of Micro needling is to promote collagen production by causing small graze trauma to the skin. Also to impart product into the deeper layers. This is an invaluable treatment to keep skin young and plump. This done by a controlled roller or pen. The pen is used professionally and the roller is more for home use. This treatment although you may think very new in fact in theory is very old.

THE PROCEDURE

After cleansing and prepping the skin a topical anaesthetic may or may not be applied depending on the area. The derma pen depth setting is determined by the thickness or area of your skin. The pen glides over the area causing hundreds of tiny punches in the skin this heals over within minutes so there is no risk to the skin. I apply Hyaluronic acid serum during treatment process.

DOWN TIME

• None.

• Most people are red for a few hours and sometimes small dots can be seen for a couple of days. You can successfully cover this with makeup.

DOES IT HURT

• The sensation is minimal, the forehead area is the most sensitive, usually most people tolerate it well without topical anaesthetic.

COURSE

• Usually 6, every 2 to 4 weeks but can be designed as part of other treatments.
